Fellowship sends Latin-American reporters to Germany

Deadline:

9/30/12

Latin-American journalists between the ages of 25 and 35 can apply for this fellowship.

The fellowship, offered by the Internationale Journalisten-Programme (IJP), offers journalists the opportunity to spend two months in Germany learning about the country's economic and political climate.

The program will take place in March and April of 2013.

Applicants should have working knowledge of German. There may be exceptions for fellows who do not speak German if they can compensate with fluency in English and outstanding applications.

Fellows will receive a total payment of EUR€3,300 (about US$4,000). This figure is expected to cover travel and accommodation costs, as well as most food expenses.

Applications should be submitted to the press departments of the German Embassy or consulates of the applicants' respective countries.
