Fellowships encourage accurate reporting on mental health
Deadline:
Journalists interested in issues involving mental health can apply to win one of two fellowships being offered by the Carter Center in Atlanta, GA, to study and report on a particular issue within the mental health field for one year. Winners of the fellowships will educate the public, raise awareness and inform other journalists in the field of mental health journalism. The deadline to apply is April 28.
The fellowship opportunities, which include two expense-paid trips to the Center in Atlanta and a $10,000 stipend, are open to journalists from Romania, South Africa and the United States who have at least three years experience in print or electronic journalism.
