Documentary filmmakers are invited to submit short films and feature films to this festival.

Brazil's Secretaria de Estado de Cultura do Distrito Federal is organizing the 46th Brasília Film Festival, which will take place September 17 to 24 in Brasília.

The festival aims to showcase the production of Brazilian films to the country and the world. It features debates, seminars, workshops and a competitive exhibit.

The competition is opened to fiction films, documentaries and animations produced in Brazil after August 1, 2012. The winners will receive the Candango trophy, as well as cash prizes ranging from BRL$5,000 (about US2,500) to BRL$100,000 (about US$50,000).

The submission deadline is June 24.
