Free investigative workshop on covering the budget crisis [US]

U.S. investigative reporters interested in covering the budget crisis can attend a free workshop.
The workshop, called “Follow the Money,” is sponsored by the New England Center for Investigative Reporting with a grant from the McCormick Foundation.
It aims to help reporters track stimulus funds in their communities and cover the budget crisis. Participants will also learn how read union contracts, identify opportunities for cost savings and understand budget challenges associated with health care and education.
Faculty includes Joe Bergantino, the co-director and co-founder of the New England Center for Investigative Reporting, and Mark Horvit, executive director of Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE).
