Journalists and students can enroll in an online course on transparency, journalism and public information taught in Portuguese.

The free course is offered by the Associação Brasileira de Jornalismo Investigativo (ABRAJI), with sponsorship from UNESCO's International Program for the Development of Communication.

The course will teach the necessary knowledge and tools to carry out news reports based on information provided by public agencies, especially by Brazil's Transparency Act (Act Capiberibe).

Participants will learn how to obtain public data for their stories, computer assisted reporting techniques and more.

Classes run May 14-June 17. Applicants must fill out the online form by May 9.
