Free online journalism webinar open [Brazil]

Journalists interested in learning more about online journalism can watch this event online.

The 2012 MediaOn, an international seminar on online journalism, will be held December 4 - 6 in Sao Paulo. The event will be available through the portal Terra on the Web, mobile phones and tablets.

Panels will focus on how companies are changing production and video creation; new ways to produce, distribute and customize news; advertising in the digital world; mobile journalism; and the news coverage of the FIFA World Cup.

Panelists include Amy Mitchell, deputy director of the Pew Research Center’s Project for Excellence in Journalism, and investigative reporter Andrew Jennings.

The program also features a workshop that will teach 20 participants how to transform news into games. Those who wish to attend the workshop must e-mail itauculturalATcomunicacaodirigida.com.br. Registration opens November 21 and closes when the spots are filled.

Registration for the MediaOn is free. To guarantee your spot, come 30 minutes prior to the start of each panel.
