Free seminar on media coverage of human trafficking [Europe]
Date:
Journalists in EU member states interested in learning more about developments in human trafficking can apply to a seminar in Brussels.
The European Journalism Centre is organizing a seminar from September 24-25 for national media from EU member states.
Journalists will learn more about the policy developments and work of the EU Institutions and agencies in order to further support a comprehensive response against trafficking in human beings.
Although reliable and comprehensive data-based evidence is often lacking, experts agree that human trafficking has significantly increased in recent years. To tackle this issue, also referred to as “the new slave trade," the EU has recently launched a strategy to eradicate human trafficking over the next five years.
