Journalists interested in learning more about social networking can sign up for a free seminar.

LinkedIn offers a free online seminar for journalists which includes tips and advice on finding work, finding sources and tracking companies.

It's held at 5 pm ET on October 10. To sign up, join the LinkedIn Journalist Group. Once registered for the group, sign up for the October tutorial. Organizers will provide toll-free national and international numbers to participate in the 20-30 minute session which includes time for questions.

Participants will also receive a free one-year membership to LinkedIn Pro, which allows users to contact anyone on LinkedIn directly. If you can't make the session, the tutorial is offered periodically to those signed up for the journalist group.
