To call attention to the importance of incorporating a gender focus in journalism, a seminar on gender issues will be held on October 6 and 7 in Quito, Ecuador.

Among the topics to be discussed: gender perspective, news coverage of gender-based violence, female trafficking, gender in journalism, and more.

The event is an initiative of Centro Internacional de Estudios Superiores de Comunicación para América Latina (CIESPAL) and the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Foundation in Ecuador and Centro de Competencia en Comunicación para América Latina (C3).
