GLAAD Digital Media Fellowship [US]

Undergraduates, graduate students and recent grads can apply for a digital media fellowship in New York.

The Digital Initiatives Fellow at the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation GLAAD will work on the organization's digital program. The fellow will help update the website, blog, social media accounts, help with email outreach and video projects, conduct research projects and handle routine writing and administrative tasks.

Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation amplifies the voice of the LGBT community by empowering real people to share their stories, holding the media accountable for the words and images they present, and helping grassroots organizations communicate effectively.

Applicants must be either current students or have graduated no more than 12 months prior to submitting the application. The stipend is US$1,000. 2011 GLAAD Fellowships run from when the position is filled in through December 31, 2011. Fellows must commit to at least 25-30 hours a week.
