Government oversight fellowship seeks journalist [US]
U.S. investigative journalists interested in government oversight can apply for a fellowship in Washington, D.C.
The full-time fellowship, sponsored by the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse at Syracuse University, gives a journalist the opportunity to conduct research using a range of methods.
The fellow will write and edit reports, aid in the design of web-based data tools, assist with proposals for new investigative projects and help with other FOIA-related projects.
Applicants must have a master’s degree in journalism or equivalent news reporting experience. The fellow will receive US$37,150 and benefits for the nine-month fellowship. The program begins in August or September 2011 and ends May or June 2012.
