Grant funds investigative journalism [US]
Deadline:
Investigative journalists can apply for a reporting grant.
The Fund for Investigative Journalism seeks grant proposals that break new ground and expose wrongdoing.
Projects related to government accountability and environmental issues in the United States and local or regional stories with national implications are eligible. Applications from ethnic media are strongly encouraged, but must be submitted in English.
Grants average US$5,000 and the maximum grant is US$10,000. The grant supports the costs of reporting, such as travel and document production expenses. A small stipend will be considered as part of the overall award.
Proposals must include a detailed budget, resume, two writing samples and a letter of commitment.
The application deadline is June 10.
