Grants available for investigative reporting [Brazil]
Deadline:
Journalists and students can submit their ideas on topics that contribute to public transparency, social justice and human rights.
Pública, Brazil's first nonprofit investigative journalism agency, launched its second grants contest. It aims to stimulate the production of independent investigative journalism in the country.
The contest will select four innovative projects that will receive BRL$4,000 (about US$2,000), as well as guidance from the agency's coordinators. The grantees will have up to two months to work on their stories.
Works will be published between July and October 2013 on the agency's website.
The deadline to submit proposals is April 5.
