Photojournalists from Central Asia, the South Caucasus, Afghanistan, Mongolia and Pakistan are encouraged to apply for grants.

The grants will support photographers who reflect important issues in the region. Potential topics include human rights and social issues. Each of ten winners will get US$3,500 to complete his or her project. They will also receive audio equipment and software.

Grantees will be assigned an internationally recognized photographer as a mentor throughout the grant period.
