Health journalism competition seeks entries [Worldwide]

Deadline:

11/30/12

Journalists worldwide who have reported on epilepsy can enter a competition.

The 2012 Excellence in Epilepsy Journalism Award, sponsored by the International Bureau for Epilepsy, recognizes outstanding reporting on this issue. Stories should help increase the awareness and understanding of epilepsy and give a voice to people living with epilepsy.

Entries can be about any aspect of epilepsy and must have been published or broadcast between November 30, 2011 and November 30, 2012. There are four categories for entries—print, online, radio and television—with one winner to be selected from each group.

One prize of EUR€3,000 (about US$3,800) in travel vouchers will be awarded for each category. It is encouraged that these travel vouchers could be used to defray travel costs related to further journalistic research and publications about epilepsy in an international context.
