Health journalism contest open [Latin America]

In order to recognize the talent and social commitment of Latin American journalists, the Laboratorios Roche América Latina, in collaboration with the Technical Secretariat of the Fundación Gabriel García Márquez para el Nuevo Periodismo Iberoamericano (FNPI), launches the first edition of the Roche Prize in Health Journalism.
Entries must have been published in 2012 in the categories of print journalism (print or digital) and television and video (public and private television, or Internet).
Journalists or media teams from the region can submit entries that focus on one of six main themes: innovation in health care, biotechnology in health, access to health treatments, research and development in health, regulation and public health policies, and oncology.
The winner in each category will receive a scholarship with all expenses paid to participate in a FNPI workshop. In addition, winners will be invited to the award ceremony and receive a diploma.
The deadline is April 15.
