Professional health journalists working in the United States can apply for a fellowship.
The Association of Health Care Journalists (AHCJ) and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are seeking applicants AHCJ-CDC Health Journalism Fellowships.
Four journalists will be selected to spend a week on the campus of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) from Sept. 30 through Oct. 4.
The fellows will: learn how to explore the latest NIH research; learn how to understand and interpret biomedical statistics; take advantage of NLM's data, programs and resources for stronger stories; and get hands-on training in PubMed, MedlinePlus, ClinicalTrials.gov, ToxNet and Household Products Database.
The fellowship includes AHCJ membership, domestic travel and lodging.
