Journalists who cover health in Brazil are eligible for this award.

The SINDHRio Award for Journalism and Health, organized by nonprofit SINDHRIO, recognizes the role of the press in issues related to health.

A total of BR$72,000 (about US35,000) will be distributed in six categories: website, magazine, newspaper, radio, television and print articles written by health professionals in the media.

Works must have been published or broadcast in Brazil between October 15, 2011 and October 15, 2012.

The entry deadline is November 5.
