The Press Institute at the Inter American Press Association (IAPA) announces its annual seminar for newsroom leaders, “Content differentiation strategies and human resources,” which will be held May 16 to 17 in Miami, Florida.

This seminar will focus on the processes of convergence and divergence taking place in newsrooms and on finding ways to charge for content in a context of information overload.

Carlos Jornet, the main instructor, will address the issues of convergence and divergence and charging for content. Homer Hinojosa will lead the sessions on communication and coaching, talent search and selection, as well as new forms of staff training. Randy Covington, director of the WAN-IFRA’s Newsplex training center, will lead a session on the physical transformation of newsrooms and future trends.

The registration fee is US$450 per participant.
