With the goal of promoting independent, responsible and free media, the Inter American Press Association (IAPA) is offering scholarships for young Latin American and Caribbean journalists to study in the United States or Canada, and for Americans and Canadians to study in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Candidates must be journalists or journalism school seniors between 21 and 35 years old, speak the language of the country where they wish to study, and have graduated from college. Scholars will receive US$20,000.
