Iberoamerican meeting in Havana to analyze gender and communication

Journalists, communicators and media professionals are invited to participate in the VIII Encuentro Iberoamericano de Género y Comunicación in Havana, Cuba, scheduled for May 27-29. Deadline: April 20.
Sponsored by Cuba’s journalists union (UPEC, in Spanish) the federation of Cuban women (FMC, in Spanish) and the Cuban association of social communicators (ACCS, in Spanish), the event will examine topics such as diversity, peace culture, new technology in communication, advertisement and ecology. The program also includes debates, workshops, panels and conferences.
Participants who would like to present on a topic must send a summary of the presentation in digital format by April 20. Registration for presenters and participants alike costs CUC$100 (about US$108); the cost for students is CUC$50 (about US$54).
