Inter-American Development Bank launches blogger contest [Latin America, Caribbean]

Bloggers who write about topics related to child development in Latin America and the Caribbean can participate in this contest.

The Inter-American Development Bank’s (IDB) First Steps Blog has announced the “Speak up for the little ones" contest.

On the blog, IDB specialists in social protection and health address different topics related to child development such as successful interventions, lessons learned in different countries or issues under discussion among decision makers.

Participants must submit a post up to 600 words in one of the official languages of the IDB (Spanish, English, Portuguese or French).The contest is open to bloggers from IDB member countries. Participants can submit up to two posts.

The IDB will select one winner and five finalists who will be special guests of the First Steps Blog. Their contributions will be published in the blog, and they will be invited to publish future articles. The winner will also receive an iPad.

The deadline is December 15 at 2 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
