International film festival seeks entries [Worldwide]

Filmmakers worldwide can participate in this festival.

The International Documentary, Short, and Animated Film Festival, organized with support from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Russian Filmmakers’ Union, will take place September 21 - 28 in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Categories include: international, national competition of documentary films and international competition of experimental films.

Accepted are full-length documentary films (40 to 120 minutes), short documentary films (up to 40 minutes), short and animated films (no longer than 30 minutes) and short experimental films (no longer than 15 minutes). English subtitles are required for all films with spoken dialogue, unless English is the language of the film.

Participation is free. Travel costs are not covered.

The winner of the international competition will be awarded the Golden Centaur Grand Prix and US$5,000. The winners of the national competition of documentary films will be awarded Centaur Prizes and RUB30,000 (about US$975). The winner of the international experimental film category will be awarded Centaur Prizes and US$2,000.

The deadline is May 31.
