The International Journalism Festival in Perugia, Italy is accepting applications for volunteers for the 2011 edition.

Volunteers in previous years have come from as far as Canada, Brazil, Finland, India, Gambia, Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan to spend a few days in the charming hill town in Umbria listening to speakers including Al Gore and Roberto Saviano.

This year, participants include Mushtaq Laith of Al Jazeera, Mora Miguel of El Pais and Rakotomalala Lova of Global Voices. The festival takes place from April 17-20.
