Investigative journalists in the United Kingdom can apply for this award.

The 2012 Paul Foot Award is seeking entries recognizing significant investigative reporting in newspapers or magazines in the U.K.

The contest is open to individuals, teams or entire publications. The winner will receive GBP5,000 (about US$8,100) and five runners-up will each receive GBP1,000 (about US$1,600).

Submissions must have been published between November 2011 and October 2012. No broadcast material is eligible.

The deadline is November 12.
