Investigative journalists in Kyrgyzstan can participate in this contest.

The Development Policy Institute with the support of the Soros Foundation-Kyrgyzstan, announces a national investigative journalism contest.

Suggested topics for entries include: transparency and efficiency of a budget, disclosures and analysis of problems in the mining industry, the power generation sector and distribution of donor's aid.

Accepted are entries published in print, broadcast or online media between September 1, 2012 and April 30, 2013 in Kyrgyz or Russian languages.

The size of the prize pool and prizes has not yet been announced.

The application deadline is May 10.
