Journalists and students can attend this free event in Salvador, Bahia.

The first Regional Meeting of Investigative Journalism will be held on Aug. 8 by Faculdade Social da Bahia (FSBA) and the Brazilian Association of Investigative Journalism (Abraji, in Portuguese).

The seminar will focus on politics reporting and government monitoring. Participants will learn how major media outlets cover politics in Brazil, as well as reporting techniques (Computer Assisted Reporting, document search, use of databases, etc).
