Journalism awards for diversity seek entries
Deadline:
Journalists who covered Asian-American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) issues can apply for an award.
The Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) seeks entries for its 2012 National Journalism Awards, honoring the ability of journalists - AAPI and otherwise - to cover the news with authority, sensitivity, insight and an eye towards diversity.
The contest features five categories - online, photography, print, radio, television - that may fall under two subject areas - unlimited subject matter or AAPI issues.
Award recipients will be presented at AAJA's Gala Scholarship and Awards Banquet at the UNITY Conference in Las Vegas.
Entries must be in English and published or aired in 2011. You do not need to be an AAJA member to submit an entry, but fees may apply for non-members.
Apply by April 20. For more information, click here.
