Journalism students in Chile can participate in this contest.

Telefónica Chile S.A. through its ETECOM contest seeks to recognize and highlight the quality of the best academic works related to communication, with emphasis on technical and journalistic tasks, in order to stimulate future professionals in the exercise of their profession.

The contest is open to students in their fourth or fifth year in Chilean universities offering journalism studies. They can submit entries in the following categories: print, photography, radio communication, visual communication and digital media.

Entries must be submitted by the respective academic authorities.

The winners of each category will receive US$1,000 in cash. The winner of the ETECOM Chile 2013 prize will receive a Smartphone and will also be entitled to undertake a professional internship in a leading international media company with all expenses paid.

The deadline to apply is Sept 27.
