Journalism fellowship on aging open [US]
Deadline:
Journalists who cover issues surrounding aging can apply for a fellowship.
The Gerontological Society of America (GSA) and New America Media (NAM) are accepting applications from journalists who cover issues in aging and/or who work for ethnic media outlets serving U.S. communities for the MetLife Foundation Journalism Fellowship on Aging.
The program will select reporters from both ethnic media organizations in the United States and generations-beat reporters from the general-interest media, based on their proposals for in-depth projects on aging.
Chosen journalists will receive a stipend of US$1,500 to attend GSA’s 2013 Annual Scientific Meeting, which is taking place in New Orleans November 20-24.
Apply by July 1.
