Journalism lectures open [Spain]
Journalists can attend a series of lectures in Madrid.
The IPECC, the Federación de Asociaciones de Periodistas de España (FAPE) and the Agencia EFE are organizing "Journalists and Journalism," a lecture series focused on the history and future of the profession.
The economic crisis has led to a widespread debate about journalism, including self-criticism, and talks about the use of digital technologies and new business models. These seminars aim to reclaim the space that the profession may have lost through dialogue with experienced professionals.
The next event will take place on March 19 and will focus on the radio industry in Spain. The conference will be led by Lorenzo Diaz, director of culture for Onda Cero, and Luis del Val, journalist and writer for the COPE channel.
Cultural journalism will be the focus of the lecture on April 16. Political debates on television will be discussed May 21, and journalists at war will be the focus of the June 18 session.
All lectures will take place in the IPECC auditorium in Madrid, starting at 7 p.m. After each lecture, the debate will continue among the participants who will be able to exchange their views in private until 10 p.m. or online.
Interested participant must register for every event ahead of time.
