Journalism and communication researchers from around the world will meet at an international conference on "Journalism Research in the Public Interest." Participants will explore what the field of journalism research has to offer to issues of public interest and debate.

The event will be held in Winterthur and Zurich, Switzerland from November 19 to 21. It will discuss the successful transfer of knowledge between journalism research and its social contexts.

The conference is supported by the IAM Institute of Applied Media Studies at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences and the Institute of Mass Communication and Media Research, University of Zurich. Attendees must cover their own costs.
