Journalistic prize to recognize works on Brazilian economy

October 31 is the deadline to apply for the CNH (Case New Holland) prize on economic journalism, which will highlight articles written in Portuguese about Brazil’s economy.

The prize will honor the best reports or series that contribute to development in Brazil. Works must have been published between October 17, 2007 and October 31, 2008.

The competition has three categories: newspapers and magazines, with a prize of BR$12,000 (about US$5,745), and two prizes of BR$5,000 (about US$2,297) for excellence in journalism.
