Reporters, editors, designers, illustrators, programmers and journalism students can attend a hackathon on data mining in São Paulo.

The hackathon starts at midnight on June 22 and runs until midnight on June 23. It will be held at the headquarters of newspaper Estado de S. de Paulo.

Teams will be formed at the beginning of the event and each group will choose topics of public interest. Teams will spend 24 hours working to better understand and create software applications based on publicly released data from Brazilian government agencies.
