Journalists to discuss trends in Latin American media [Florida]

Four well-known journalists will meet for a panel discussion on freedom of speech and issues of democratic stability in Latin America.

The panel discussion, which takes place in Miami, is hosted by Carlos M. Castañeda Education Foundation (FECMC, in Spanish), the fifth in a series of five conferences titled Latin American Radiography: Freedom of the Press and Democracy.

Panelists include Patricia Poleo, an investigative journalist and editor-in-chief of Venezuela's El Nuevo País de Caracas and Wilfredo Cancio Isla, a producer at AmericaTeVe-Canal 41 in Miami.

Young professionals, as well as anyone interested in Latin American issues and press freedom issues are encouraged to attend. This is a free event, open to the public. This panel discussion will be held Tuesday, March 1st.
