Journalists who are attacked because of their words or ideas can access Scholars at Risk, an international network of universities and colleges responding to such attacks.

Scholars at Risk promotes and defends the human rights of journalists, scholars and their communities worldwide.

Visitors to the site can find out about attacks on scholars and universities, report a threat or incident, host a scholar or seek a host.

Journalists can also access the Scholar Rescue Fund, which provides financial support to those facing grave threats so that they may escape dangerous conditions and continue their work in safety.
