Journalists are invited to attend a symposium on media and development at the African University College of Communications (AUCC) in Accra, Ghana, from June 4 to 5.

Organized by ACC in conjunction with Ghana Telecom University & PenPlusBytes, the theme of the conference is "Assessing the Contribution of Communication and the New Media to Human Development in Africa."

The symposium will convene a panel of experts to evaluate strategies for engaging communications and new media in development issues, issues of capacity building for communication, and how governments can use the media in development projects.
