Journalists in the European Union can enter a contest on integration and diversity.

The CIVIS Media Foundation is now accepting applications for three media awards. The CIVIS Media Prize, now in its 25th year, recognizes television programs promoting European integration and cultural diversity with respect to immigration.

The three awards cover radio and TV, young journalists and online news. Stories should address topics in cross-cultural exchange without glossing over conflicts.

Stories produced in the EU-27 and Switzerland are eligible for the EU€40,000 prize (about US$52,000).

The deadline is January 20.
