Webcast to discuss dangers facing foreign correspondents [Worldwide]

Journalists can watch a live webcast of “Muzzled Media - The Global Challenge,” a panel scheduled for June 21.
Foreign correspondents with experience in some of the most dangerous parts of the world will discuss the current challenges facing reporters, as well as how they see the evolving role of journalists abroad. The discussion comes at an important time as political turmoil in parts of the Middle East, Asia and Africa pose new dangers to foreign journalists who strive to report their findings.
Featured panelists include national security reporter Michelle Shephard of The Toronto Star and CBC radio host Anna Maria Tremonti
The annual panel is sponsored by The Canadian International Council and The Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI), an independent, non-partisan think-tank on international governance.
