Media support organization maintains assistance for Macedonian institute
Since 2004 the Macedonian Institute for Media (MIM) has organized a one-year diploma course in journalism. The course provides practical training for young journalists with a strong focus on journalism ethics.
In total 24 students are offered an intensive one year, 3-days-a-week program. During the first semester the focus will be on basics of journalism (newsworthy information, forms of news reporting and story structure, and basic writing for print, radio or TV and photojournalism). During the second semester students will specialize in broadcast journalism or print journalism.
Both groups will participate in modules on investigative journalism, computer assisted reporting and multimedia. The trainers for the program are well-known journalists from Macedonia who underwent an intensive training-of-trainers program.
