Media training opportunity in the US for Georgian journalists

Deadline:

2/1/11
Location:
United States

Georgian print journalists interested in a study/internship program in the United States can apply to a program that includes two weeks of study and training in four U.S. cities: Washington, New York, Philadelphia and Baltimore.

Sessions include hands-on multimedia work; advanced instruction in specialized areas such as investigative reporting; and discussions with government officials, advocacy professionals and veteran U.S. journalists. Interpreters will be provided, so that non-English-speakers may attend.

For the internship portion of the program, ICFJ will select three English-speaking Georgian journalists for four-week stays at U.S. media outlets, and two non-English-speaking journalists for two weeks at other media outlets, with interpreters.
