Communications professionals and students are invited to a conference in São Paulo.

Organized by Instituto Internacional de Ciências Sociais, Brazil's International Communication Conference will address the theme of "Mobile Media - Towards Mobile First" -- the idea that websites should be designed for use on mobile devices. The conference will take place November 5-6.

The event aims to shed light on the daily dilemmas of communication in the age of digital mobility.

Participants will discuss the culture of tablets and smartphones, and how they are changing the paradigms of journalism and marketing. Other topics that will be addressed include the new public content that drives news and advertising and the social networking world.

The pre-registration deadline is September 28. Fees start at BR$170 (about US$85).
