Photographers worldwide can submit digital photos to a contest.

The National Geographic Traveler photo contest seeks entries across four categories: travel portraits, outdoor scenes, sense of place and spontaneous moments.

The contest features prizes and gift certificates -- a 10-day National Geographic Galápagos Photography Expedition for two, a seven-day National Geographic Photography Workshop, and a six-day cruise on a Maine windjammer schooner for two.

Entrants must be of legal age in their residing country. The contest is void to residents of Cuba, Iran, New Jersey, North Korea, the Province of Quebec, Sudan, Syria or Vermont. The entry fee is US$15.

The deadline is June 30.
