The National Journal is seeking a journalist to oversee digital strategy and execution of content.

The editor is responsible for strategic direction as well as day-to-day operations of the site, with the goal of creating intelligent content that attracts a large audience inside and outside the Beltway. The editor brings to the job outstanding leadership skills, digital experience and knowledge of national politics and policy.

Applicants should have at least eight years of journalism experience driving coverage in a news environment, preferably on a high-velocity, digital platform. In addition, applicants should have a deep understanding of political journalism, preferably through experience as a writer and/or editor of Washington stories.
