Deadline:
U.S. journalists interested in retirement issues can apply for a fellowship to attend a seminar in Washington, D.C.
The Retirement Issues Fellowship Program, sponsored by the National Press Foundation, is a three-day course intended to help business, consumer and lifestyle journalists and editors cover retirement. Topics include health care, social security, demographics and public pensions.
"As Baby Boomers move deeper into their golden years, retirement resources and lifestyle choices loom ever larger. In a recent survey, only 13 percent of Americans said they feel ‘very confident’ they can retire comfortably," organizers said.
Fellows will have on-the-record access to leading retirement experts from the federal government, think tanks and interest groups.
Fifteen fellowships will be awarded. To access the resources from the 2010 program, click here.
