The 11-month session will take place in Washington, D.C. starting on January 15. The fellow will be assigned to monitor the activities undertaken by Office of the Special Rapporteur for Freedom of Expression of the Inter-American Commission in the hemisphere.

Applicants must be nationals from one of the OAS member states, bilingual in Spanish and English, demonstrate a professional interest in the area of human rights and have at least six months of experience in issues related to the Inter-American Human Rights System.

The fellowship includes a monthly stipend of US$3,000 during the period covered by the scholarship, or a total of US$34,500. The fellowship will also cover travel from the fellow’s residence to D.C.

The application deadline is November 20.
