Online course on digital and mobile security open [Mexico]

Journalists and bloggers who work in Mexico in insecure situations can participate in this online course.
The Centro de Formación en Periodismo Digital (CFPD) at the University of Guadalajara is offering the online course, “Digital and mobile security for bloggers and journalists,” which will take place May 6 - June 15. The program will be taught by Jorge Luis Sierra.
Some of the objectives of the course include: identifying risks and threats to digital and mobile security; identifying strengths and vulnerabilities and implementing strategies to reduce those vulnerabilities and increase those strengths; reducing risks in internet browsing by using TOR and coding systems; and reducing risks when using blogging and microblogging platforms in Wordpress, Twitter and Facebook.
Participants must have an intermediate level of English and be able to dedicate 10 - 12 hours each week to the course.
Accepted participants will receive a scholarship that covers the cost of registration. These scholarships are offered by Freedom House and the International Center for Journalists. The deadline is April 24.
