Online course to focus on investigating public spending in Brazil

Journalists interested in investigative reporting have until October 6 to enroll in an online course focusing on how to investigate public spending in Brazil. The five-week course will begin October 16.

According to the course’s organizer, the Brazilian Association of Investigative Journalism (ABRAJI, in Portuguese), the goal of this initiative is to teach how to find and process public spending data in Brazil, and the procedures for overseeing and tracing public resources.

Participants will access the course's modules online every week and complete the activities assigned in each module. Requirements include a computer with Internet access, and Excel, Power Point and Adobe installed.
