The course is aimed at professional and citizen journalists, journalism students and professionals interested in learning how to write for the web.

The five-week online course will be taught from July 3 to August 7, 2011 by Rosalía Orozco Murillo, director of the Digital Journalism Center and a journalism professor at the University of Guadalajara.

Participants will learn techniques and strategies to write for online audiences and how to use search engines, photos and graphics. The course requires students to dedicate between five and 10 hours per week.

The tuition fee for Mexican citizens is MXN1,000 and for international students US$80.The application deadline is July 1.
