Photo competition on charities open [Worldwide]
Deadline:
Professional, amateur and student photographers can participate in this contest.
PhotoPhilanthropy is accepting submissions for its 2012 PhotoPhilanthropy Activist Awards, which identifies outstanding photo essays created by photographers in collaboration with nonprofit organizations worldwide.
Submitted photos must depict the work of a charitable organization (designated by 501(c)3 in the United States, or an international equivalent) and be presented in photo essay form. In order to reflect current issues, photographs must have been taken within the past three years.
Long-term projects will be accepted, but they must contain some images that were taken in the past three years. Photographers may enter two essays in the same year.
The winner in the professional photographer category will receive US$15,000, and the amateur and student first-place winners will each receive US$2,000.
The submission deadline is November 1.
